A Live cooking demonstration lead by registered dietitian, Miss. Katie.  This demo includes two easy, nutritious, and delicious recipes! Learn the basics of building a balanced meal using MyPlate and the importance of healthy eating for you and your breastfeeding baby!

Ingredients and links to recipes are listed below—feel free to purchase the ingredients in advance and cook along during the class, or just watch and learn!

Basic Quiche
Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk, nonfat or skim
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables, fresh or frozen
    (spinach, broccoli, bell pepper, zucchini or mushrooms)
  • ½ cup cheese, shredded
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pie crust, 9” (optional)

Required kitchen equipment: mixing bowl, measuring cup/spoons, round pie dish or muffin pan

Flourless Peanut Butter Banana Cookies
Ingredients

  • 2 cups quick cooking (instant) oats
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
